Dr Tanja and her team are excited to introduce an exciting new treatment to the clinic
The Dermapen 4

Dermapen has been setting the industry standard in excellence since its invention almost a decade ago. It is the first automated microneedling pen. There are now a lot of “copy” pens out there that try to emulate Dermapen’s success. However, you can feel confident knowing that we always research to find you the best in every class in every device we go for and this is no exception.

Many years of research have gone into developing and manufacturing the Dermapen 1, 2, 3 and now we have the 4th generation of the device. This is what we have been waiting for – the Dermapen 4 offers far superior results to any of its predecessors, with less pain and downtime than any other microneedling pen on the market.

The Dermapen 4 has raised the bar to a whole new level as a result of its 16-needle cartridge. It can now deliver 1,920 puncture channels per second. It offers faster treatment times and covers larger procedural areas with minimal discomfort – incredible when you think of the tiny microchannels being made in your skin!

Here’s all you need to know…

So…what is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure involving very small, thin needles penetrating the top layer of the skin. Microneedling is clinically proven to help with collagen production, overall skin condition, acne and acne scarring, wrinkles, stretch marks, pigmentation and many more skin conditions.

Here at Dr Tanja’s clinic, we are delighted to have invested in the Dermapen 4, the best of the Dermapen devices, only available in a few clinics outside of London and one of very few combining the exosomes with the Dermapen 4. There is no other device on the market that initiates more pathways to facilitate skin regeneration and the injection of active substances.

And now the science bit…

Only Dermapen 4 offers this incomparable and unique feature as it glides over the skin creating millions of fine, vertical fractional channels up to 104% faster than other microneedling pens. These channels can carry up to 80% more topical nutrients deeper into the skin. The micro-injuries trigger a natural process of repair, increasing the production of collagen and elastin and visibly improving a wide range of skin concerns, whilst the exosomes stimulate further collagen production, decrease inflammation and speed up the “healing” time.

Does it hurt?

We apply numbing cream to your face before we start once this is done you will feel very little. You may feel slight warmth or a scratching sensation on your face once the microneedling starts. Some patients feel discomfort if the needles are near bony areas, such as your cheekbones however this should be minimal.

Why add exosomes?

To supercharge this treatment we add in Exosomes. If you have never heard of this amazing Exosome treatment before, please do read on! Exosomes are currently at the forefront of medical aesthetics, renowned for their regenerative effects they offer next level anti-ageing and restorative results for the face, neck, body and scalp. Exosomes are messengers of cell-to-cell communication and have potent repair & regenerative functions. They work by activating your own skin cells or hair follicles (depending on the product used and delivery method). Proteins and growth factors are stimulated in these targeted areas to improve the skin quality and skin conditions significantly.

Using ‘MG-EXO-SKIN’ (DermaPen’s very own exosomes) as a microneedling serum with the Dermapen 4 gives a huge number of benefits for the skin. About 7,000 Exosomes can fit on a single micro-fine needle. Given the Dermapen 4 needle cartridge consists of 16 needles, a single oscillation of a Dermapen 4 device can deliver 112,000 Exosomes. Therefore, one Dermapen 4 microneedling session can deliver millions of Exosomes! The regeneration possibility is extraordinary!

Furthermore, we are now excited to say that we can offer at home Exosome kits to accelerate your treatment alongside an amazing exosome face mask – for a quick and effective boost to your skincare routine.

What are the treatment intervals?

  • Permanent changes in your skin will be visible after 2–6 treatments in the clinic. The sessions are typically spaced 2-6 weeks apart.
  • With this in mind, you could expect significant visible results in the appearance, texture, and smoothness of your skin in as little as a couple of months!
  • What is amazing with the DermaPen device is that it keeps working long after the needling’s over.
  • The positive benefits of Dermapen Treatments can continue to be seen for up to 24 months.
  • It’s a long-lasting solution to most skin concerns.

What results can I expect?

The brilliant Dermapen Treatment results can include things such as:

  • Significant reduction in the appearance of stretch marks and other skin blemishes
  • Improving the appearance and signs of ageing such as fine lines, crow’s feet, and deeper wrinkles anywhere on the body
  • Minimising open pores for a smooth and flawless finish
  • Fading hyperpigmentation such as melasma
  • Better absorption of active ingredients such as Exosomes

Thanks to the superior features of the Dermapen 4, you can see a noticeable glow in your skin only a few days after your first session.
